Imagine if it was Reese's Pisces and they were filled with ground up fish instead of peanut butter?

I've been really working on trying to eat more fish as of late. Not only is it extremely tasty, but apparently it's kind of good for you or something. The problem is that, for the most part, you gotta eat it the day you buy it. Which means Sundays have become fish days. This is because i go food shopping on Sundays. I go to Fairway for the food, but I stay for the yuppies.

Last Sunday though Julie was out of town at a conference in San Something, California (Not Francisco, although she visited there, and not Jose; I don't pay a lot of attention) so I had my friend Annie over for dinner (who's boyfriend was also on the West coast, but snowboarding in Canada) since I hate cooking for one. Unless we're talking about pork chops. But as the photo above shows, we're not. Although I kind of wish we were.

Annie is a bit of a hippie from California, so I figured I'd make something "healthy." As in not containing bacon or sausage. Or ham. So pretty much nothing from the pig. Not that I'm some sort of porcine-o-phile; I just happen to like pork. Anyway, so Mediterranean sea bass, er, Branzino, would have to do. Plus they all looked so cute in the case at the store. This was cooked simply- just stuffed with some thyme and lemon, salt and pepper and cooked on the grill pan. What it was served with took a little while though. I put the fish on a bed of pan-fried sliced potatoes which were in turn resting on a bed of carmelized fennel and onions. And then served it with some kale and a black olive tapenade.
